FAQs for Definitions:
Vector Art
Scalable digital graphics that defines shapes, lines, and curves on a grid, allowing it to
be scaled to any size—from a business card to a billboard—without losing quality or
becoming blurry. Unlike raster images (photos), vectors stay perfectly crisp and are
highly editable. Common file formats include .AI, .EPS, .SVG, and .PDF.
Sign
A rigid or semi-rigid display used to communicate information or branding. Typically
made from durable materials like aluminum, PVC, or foam core, signs are designed for
long-term visibility on walls, lawns, or storefronts.
Magnet
Temporary, repositionable signage with a magnetic backing. These are perfect for
vehicle branding that you want to remove at the end of the day or for promotional items
that stick to metal surfaces like refrigerators.
Decal
A high-quality, adhesive-backed graphic (often vinyl) designed for semi-permanent
application. Think of it as a professional-grade sticker used for window lettering, wall
graphics, or labeling equipment.
Banner
A flexible display typically made of vinyl or fabric. Banners are portable and easy to
hang using grommets or pole pockets, making them the go-to choice for grand
openings, trade shows, and outdoor events.
What is included with a logo design charge?
Vector art files of your logo (.ai .eps. .pdf), web-based files of your logo (.jpg and then transparent background .png files), and info page of fonts and Pantone colors used.
FAQs for Vinyl:
3M Controltac (IJ180)
The industry standard for vehicle wraps and high-end graphics. It is famous for being
"slideable," which allows an installer to move the graphic around on the surface until it is
in the perfect spot before sticking it down. This makes it the most reliable choice for
complex surfaces like car bumpers and mirrors.
Orajet (3951RA)
A high-performance, professional-grade film known for vibrant colors and excellent
durability. It provides a high-quality finish similar to 3M but at a more cost-effective price
point. It is a great choice for local business branding, flat signs, and long-term outdoor
displays.
Can we place vinyl over rust?
No, we are unable to apply vinyl over rust. The product will not adhere to this surface
and will need to be repaired or cut around for installation.
Printed Vinyl
Think of this like a high-end office printer, but on a massive scale. We take a roll of
white vinyl and use digital ink to print your design directly onto it. This is the only way to
achieve full-color photos, gradients, and complex logos with many colors.
Cut Vinyl
Instead of using ink, this vinyl comes from the factory in one solid, vibrant color (like
"Fire Engine Red" or "Forest Green"). A computer-controlled blade cuts your specific
shapes or lettering directly out of the colored material. Because there is no ink to fade,
cut vinyl is incredibly durable and is the industry standard for simple window lettering,
boat numbers, and one-color decals.
FAQs for Vehicle Wraps:
How long does a vehicle wrap last?
A high-quality professional wrap typically lasts between 5 and 7 years. This lifespan
depends heavily on the quality of the vinyl used and how well the vehicle is maintained.
In harsher climates, horizontal surfaces like the hood and roof may show wear sooner
due to more direct sun exposure and environmental debris.
Will a vehicle wrap damage my cars paint?
When applied to OEM (factory) paint that is in good condition, a wrap will not damage
the surface. In fact, the vinyl acts as a protective barrier against UV rays, bird
droppings, and minor scuffs. However, if the car has been repainted or has existing
chips and rust, there is a risk that the paint could lift during the removal process.
How long does install normally take?
For a full wrap, you should generally expect the process to take 3 to 5 business days.
This window allows for a multi-step process: deep cleaning the surface, removing
hardware (like door handles and mirrors) for a seamless finish, the actual application,
and "post-heating" to ensure the adhesive stays locked in place.
Can a vehicle wrap be removed?
Yes, vehicle wraps are designed to be semi-permanent and fully removable. When
removed by a professional using a heat source, the vinyl should pull away cleanly
without leaving behind heavy adhesive residue or damaging the underlying factory
finish.
How do you clean the vehicle after it’s wrapped?
Hand washing is the gold standard for wrap care. Use a soft sponge and a mild, non-
abrasive detergent. You should avoid automated car washes that use brushes, as they
can scratch the vinyl or lift the edges. If using a pressure washer, keep the nozzle at
least 12 inches away from the edges and avoid high-pressure settings.
Spot Graphic
This is the most budget-friendly way to brand a vehicle. It involves applying individual
logos, phone numbers, or small decals to specific areas like the doors, hood, or tailgate.
You aren't changing the vehicle's color; you're just adding "spots" of information directly
onto the original paint.
Partial Wrap
A middle-ground option that covers anywhere from 25% to 75% of the vehicle. The
design is strategically created to "flow" with the car's lines, often using the vehicle's
original paint color as a background element. It provides a high-impact, professional
look without the price tag of a total transformation.
Full Wrap
The ultimate "moving billboard." This covers most of the vehicle's painted surfaces. It
allows for a total transformation—you can turn a plain white van into a vibrant, fully
branded masterpiece. It offers the most advertising space and the best protection for
the paint underneath.
